There is a 3rd party warranty on the car as well. The warranty was for 36 months/36k miles. There is 9,269 miles left or until 04/08/2013. There is a $75 transfer fee that I will cover if anyone on the board buys the car.

Wow. Sorry to see you go and good luck with the sale. Why are you leaving MINi? We are all curious.

Sarah (my wife) works for Acura of Lynnwood. One of the Asst. Managers there owned an 09 TSX and turned it in to the dealer. It's an awesome car with some nice mods on it already including a supercharger putting the car around 300hp (all covered under warranty). Not to mention that we get employee pricing on all parts and service which saves us a bunch.

The kids still fit in the MINI when it's just me driving, but when it's all four of us, it's getting a little cramped.....

I updated my second post with warranty info. It does transfer to the new owner with a small fee....

James, sorry to hear you are parting with your MINI. That Accura sounds sweet! 300hp with warranty!

Hard to beat especially when coupled with a growing family.

GLWS! Try to make the NW Harvest event even without the MINI. I'm sure you won't have any problems finding a buddy with a ride and I'm looking forward to seeing some of the photo's you take, if you go!

Cheers!

James - Thanks for all you have contributed to the club and the forums during your time here - Drop in occasionally and let us know how you are doing - maybe you can still set up a MINI day with the RTC Exotics?

Jame's MINI is another nicely moded car that it would be nice to keep in the club - whoever buys it is going to get a very nice ride...

Thanks Jack and everyone for the comments. Not everything is said and done yet. If I get a local buyer by next week, then I'll go through with the TSX. If not, it depends on what they offer me for my car on trade in.

In order to help speed the sale along, I'm offering a $100 finders fee for anyone that refers a sale to me. Please be sure to tell the person that contacts me to provide your name and I'll be happy to send $100 your way......

In June, I drove from Reno NV, to Redmond on a tank and a half. I made it almost 500 miles on one tank. I could have made it farther, but we took some back roads through NV, CA, and OR, so I filled up with a little less than 1/2 tank coming home. I wasn't sure where the next gas station was, so better safe than sorry.....

There are places in Nevada where there is no "next gas station".

Looks nice. Maybe turning one's back on a MINI can be forgiven for a car like that. :-)

So, any first thoughts? Nice improvements over a MINI? Stuff about the MINI that you miss?

The torque in the TSX is amazing. Right now it makes 265 whp; I don't know the torque specs. The shifting with the shirt shifter and stock clutch is pretty nice as well. I like having the extra space in the TSX. Getting the kids in and out of the car is much easier. I miss having the extra space in the garage though. This car obviously takes up more space. Cry

The TSX handles pretty well with the H&R coilovers, but it's still not as tossable as the MINI. Gas mileage seems to be pretty even so far. I think the biggest bonus will come when I take it in for the first maintenance. I pay about 1/3 the cost on labor and employee pricing on parts Big smile. I took the mini there to have the rear parking cable replaced and only paid $105 dollars.
