I'm back. Sorry about the interruption…..

I mentioned I sometimes leave my wallet (and other valuables: i.e. laptop) in my MINI, but always out of sight in the boot. I figured it would be harder to steal something out of the boot since it’s harder to get into. Maybe I’m wrong about that? Do you have an alarm in your car?

Again, sorry to hear about the vandalism to your MINI… I hope they catch the hoodlum(s).

P.s. Oh, and one positive note: At least they didn't know where to find your GPS. I wish I had that secret compartment in my MINI.

That is so awful -- it's like being violated! We had to take my 05 MC in for a little body work and NWMini told us to go to a place that is nearby them because they have factory matched paint. I'm so very sorry to hear about your MINI being injured! How aggravated, annoyed, irritated, mad, frustrated, ticked off, etc. you must be!!!

I sure hope those criminals get caught.

Thanks for the heads up about your purse. That's something I've been guilty of (leaving it in my car when I'm working out). The gym where I workout has problems of people breaking into the lockers and stealing items. Where is it safe to put articles such as your wallet and car keys?

Look at the hydraulic engine mount. If you see any fluid, take it in to be replaced. It's a very common problem, especially in the '05. Mine failed not long after my first track day. Thank you everyone for your sympathy! Jack - I think Brandon is still planning on being there around 11 or 11:30, he just won't be able to drive the MINI though.

Thank goodness for the secret compartment too - we forgot to take the GPS out of there the last time we used it. You should have seen the police officer's face when I told him how to open it up. He was impressed!

Haurys in Lake City comes highly recommended!!! They do good work and are very active in the BMWCCA. Oooohhh! That is so loverly! (You'd have a genuine Wonder Bread combo there! Red, Yellow, and Green.....oh, wait, that was Blue. Never mind.)

It is a beauty though and I CAN drive a stick - just not sure I can drive one with my left hand!
