My wife an I did the wine run when I had my first MINI.  There was nothing like a line of early MINIs going up the Yakima Canyon.

I wanted to see what the interest is in doing one again.  Thoughts?

There has been lots of talk - but no action on doing another East Side wine run - all it will take is someone to do a little planning and organizing and I'm sure the interest will be there.  Linda and I participated in putting together two EW runs - one with John and Irene Wood and one with Ken and Janet Russel.  We would be happy to share our experiences and lessons learned with anyone who wants to head up a MINI expedition to the dry side.

We usually do a wine run or two each year. It would be fun to do it with a bunch of MINIs.

We should go by Portteus. Paul Portteus was the proud owner of a new MCS last year when we were there and we ended up talking MINI for most of the tasting.

Plus they have good wine and they don't over price it.

Gordon we need to find out how many bottles will fit in your new CoupeS

A side note we might want to see where MTTS goes for July and we have AMVIV in June plus MITM in Aug.

I know for a fact that 7 & 1/2 cases fit in a 08 hardtop with two adults. (plus overnite bags)... Beer
(You can squeeze in a little more wine if you take fewer clothes...)

That was last year at "Catch the Crush" in Yakima.
This year it is going to be Oct 13-14.

We are definitely going again!
"KEWL" can't wait!

Late Spring - Early fall are the best times to vist Eastern WA - May or September would be my recommendation.

Donna and Les would be interested in going on a wine tour.   Would like to add Cultura and Windy Point to Porteus as excellent places to visit.    Oh, Horizons Edge too, for desert wines and fun labels.    ? Sara? at Cultura wanted to get a Mini last two times we visited, wonder if she got her wish.

Went to Cooper with the other club last summer.  Loved it and they loved having all the MINIs there.

Just trying to be flexible John...
I like May - but not Memorial day.  Early June is OK too - then I would skip to September / October.

I'd definitely be interested as well. I think sometime in September or early October would be best. May would be a good time of year, but unfortunately I'll out of town through most of May.

We want to avoid any of the wine event weekends like crush or barrel tasting. The crowds get too thick and they wouldn't appreciate a big group.
