This was a two gallon parade last year.  That of course being the amount of water we sent through the water gun.  The start time is the same as last year, 3pm.  We will receive our staging instructions the week before the parade.  Usually we stage an hour before the parade.  We will also do the post parade loop around three tree point, with all its twisties and the band playing along the beach.  Should be paraded, looped and free by 5pm, plenty of time to hit family fourth celebrations.

I would think that letting the Parade Committee in Burien know that you are going to dowse the crowd with water might be a good thing.  Water on cameras, hearing aids, cell phones and radios might not be all that desirable unless there is a warning prior to doing it.

Happy shooting!!

Count me in!

Actually, Soggy, we do this every year and the super soakers are mainly for self defense.  Trust me, the crowd (especially if we are blessed with warm weather) can more than hold their own in a water fight.
Forget my past; it is my checkered present you need to worry about!

Gina!

It has been a very long time since I looked good in swim trunksBig smile  I wonder why someone has not used the sunroof as a command turret and put a pump with sprayer and about 40 gallons of water in the back??  Then water balloons would be the only thing that could get you.

Or put a mini catapult/sling shot device on top and shoot water balloons!

Mortars are fired from within vehicles; loud but effective.  Launching water balloons with a compressed spring/tube???

I was thinking rubber band (one balloon long range) or a bra sling shot (two ballons short range).

Stacie, Bruce and Elliott will be there.  We don't miss this one.

Bruce

We just stopped in today at the Dollar Tree in Burien itself to check out the red white and blue items available at this time of year.  Got a few new things- it's a great place to get stuff to decorate your car!

I just got a call from the Parade chair.  We are in staging area "B".  It's located between SW 149th and SW 150th on 8th Ave. S.W. in Burien, if you don't see all the minis, there are supposed to be pink balloons designating area "B".   Please try to be in the staging area by 2pm, the parade starts at 3 and we are in first part of the parade, should be done with the parade well before 4pm.  The staging area will be set up by 1pm.

Just wondering if anyone is meeting up to convoy over?  Or are we all just showing up on our own?

I've never been there for this so wondering.....any special directions or information to help get us there easily?  I see between 149 and 150, but cross-street?  (Okay, duh, I was a little tired when I read it so it is 8th street)  But other questions still apply...

Any info would help....thanks in advance!
