I have been working on a prototype Event Calendar that will be easy to maintain and avoid some of the random formatting issues that have been problems in the past. I have setup a MS Word Document with an imbedded table which is where the event data will ba maintained and updated. Following a change, the table will be copied and pasted into the forum. It is not a perfect solution but I think it will be workable. Let me know if you have any suggestions or comments. This is what it looks like:

Stephen - all the links work on my computer - what browser are you using?
Kurt - this is set up as a Word Document with an imbedded table. Editing requires copying the Calendar from the forum, pasting it into Word or a compatable word processor - like PAGES - doing the editing, copying the table and pasting it back in the Forum. A little bit cumbersome - but it solves the many formatting problems that have affected the Calendar in the past. Note - the calendar is intended to maintained by the Events Officer and not editable by the general membership.

Lots of room for all kinds of events!Just as a reminder - events are created by the members - like Bruce And Stacie and their wonderful Stonehenge events. We need some people to step up and put together some drives - one day or weekend over night events that get people out motoring on some back roads and enjoying the company of the great people in the club. In the past we have had successfull winery vists, a tour of Wanapum Dam, a vist to Grand Coulie Dam - a visit to the Ellensburg Wind Generating Facility - lots of local coffee get togthers followed up with a drive over some interesting roads. These events don't just happen - they are the result of sombody taking the inititive and doing the work involved in planning, oprganizing, and leading an event. We need some people to make things happen!

How does this look? I’m still trying to figure out how to change the link to one word (i.e. FEEDBACK on April 21’s Tulip Rallye) without having the loooong link. I have no idea how to change it. I may need some schooling from you Jack.

Did you notice that they even have a cool LOGO!??? There is one event that they list that could be interesting, the Fathoms of Fun Parade. There is also an Event not listed that is big, a car show where the entire town is roped off and there is a Car Show on the waterfront and all over town, 100's of carts participate from all over the Sound. |

The Vegas temps would have made me look for a rock to crawl under but the other temps looked great :-) Was that Crater Lake before Mono Lake? |

I have tried to drive to Crater Lake 3 times and all three times I have been stopped by closed gates/unplowed roads. Bummer! Looks like a nice lake. A buddy did a biology field trip with University of Oregon Biology Dept. to the island in that crater.

We actually did have to detour around the lake to the west because of snowfall. I think it took us about 50 or more miles out of our way, but it was well worth it. Wait until you see the pics with the real SLR camera (and not my iPhone)!

Nice photos, Brenda! I bet your SLR ones are awesome. I love when your MINI is part of the scene. Crater Lake is such a beautiful lake - incredible color. Back in the day, I once took 36 lovingly-composed photos of Crater Lake only to find out later that the film didn't advance in the camera! I only did that error once I tell you!
