I have Cap from SameDay (  http://www.sameday-usa.com/ ) out at my place this morning repairing the nasty scratches I had on the bonnet of my MCS.  So far I am VERY impressed with his work.  For those that saw my car prior the scratches were down to the base coat and every body shop said I would have to respray the hood and re-apply the bonnet stripes. 

While I was talking to him he said they do tech demo sessions where they will demonstrate paint touch-up, paintless dent repair, wheel repair, and interior repair.  They've done this in the past for the Mercedes, Porsche, and other clubs.  Cap also does a lot of the work to prep cars for NW MINI.

So... who would be interested?  I've had the chance to watch them work and I am impressed. 

I'll post before and after pictures when the work is done.

Same Day is amazing.  I would HIGHLY recommend them.  They fixed some curb rash on my right front wheel a couple years ago. They did such a great job, I had them take out all the door ding/dents on our 20 year old BMW.  Looked like a brand new door when they finished.  Had a friend use them to repair the door to her BMW after it was keyed.  She was very happy with their work also.  I'd attend a tech demo if we could set one up.

AFTER - The scratches were dead center just above the fender.  An excellent job of blending and finish work.

OK, picking this back up (just got back from vacation).

There certainly looks to be enough interest.  Now the challenging part, to find a location. 

They like to do these in shops or a very large garage.  I have a three car tandem but I think they were looking for something even bigger.

Does anyone have any connections or a garage that fits the bill?  Know anyone at NW Mini or Griot's (he said they've done them there before)?

Contact Speedware Motorsports in Redmond (they would also like to do a shop tour for our club - they have 25,000sf on Willows Road, and a 6,000sf retail facility by the Towne Center.  425-869-5680.

If not there, Colin Cantrell has a pretty good sized shop in Kirkland.  Don't have his number offhand.  Remember, he holds the patent for the supercharger pulley removal tool for our cars...

Cap got back to me yesterday.  I shot him a note a while back asking what they do for a demo, his response is below.

We usually demo a paintless dent repair, show before and after photos of paint repairs, show examples of leather repair, discuss alternate methods of paint repairs, make a power point presentation about our services and the like. It usually takes 1-2 hours depending on the number of folks there. Thanks. I forgot all about the idea!

I was hoping for a bit more hands on demo than a PowerPoint and pictures but I'll pursue it if the group is interested.  The bigged challenge in getting it done is finding a facility/garage to do it.  Anyone have any "ins"?

I just shot Cap an e-mail.  I think are biggest challenge is finding a location that can accomodate the event in a garage/shop.  Speedware was recommended, I thought about Zahntech as well but haven't seen their new shop.  Can someone comment?
