Ok I do have a few questions in regarding to my MINI. After a lengthy cruise from Europe to the NW. My MINI arrived in great shape with the exception that the battery was dead and running on fumes. The transporter jumped the battery and now I'm thinking that action was the beginning of things about to go wrong. I know that my over paranoia with my new toy is taking over, but am I wrong to feel this way when la fiesta mobile makes these noises or sights?

#1. My brakes are squeaking. First it wasnt so bad, now its getting worse.

#2. The passenger window squeaks when it goes down. Perhaps its one of the seals?

#3. my friggin plate around the door handle opener thingy ma bop is loose and getting jiggy with every touch.  (Hey I never said i was great at technical terms for parts of cars)

#4. I dont have a dome or a boot light. Though we havent truely checked all the bulbs (the one in my head is still very dim) i'm just wondering if i accidently learned how to turn it off (besides the obivious) with a flick of a toggle.

So I know I'll eventually have to go down to get it looked at, all of my whines and moans about my car, because if I don't, am I looking at some pretty bad stuff ahead of me?

Don't feel paranoid..hahaha.

I brought my Mini to Korea and I cannot get the car worked on at all as it is not sold here and BMW will not work on it either. The only problem I have is the squeeky brakes....but I can live with it. If anything else should go wrong dunno what I can do.

I have a squeeky passenger window also but only in the heat. I had it looked at on a rainy day and the dealer thought I was making things up--maybe I was!

Well I really wish it was my imagination. But as of today in the rainy weather, the window squeaks in the rain as well as the heat. now theres another noise. i'm just shaking my head and telling my little car its gonna be alright. heh. thats until i take it down to tacoma for a road trip. soon i hope.

I know its just squeaks, but its a new car. so perhaps i'm just biased in hoping that my car would be just right when i got it. It could be alot of things, could be nothing. I just wont know until i can drive it down one day.

As far as your squeeky breaks what type of break pads do yo have and if you have metal pads they may last long but, they will over time eat at your rotors. Now if you have the composite pads they have a small metal bit, that will squeek to let you know you need to change your pads.

Now for the windows, mine squeek too but then again I have limo tint on all but the front.  Now for the blubs being out could have been the cause for your battery to be dead. So it was a matter of time for your blubs to burn out.

Lastly the best part, is that there is only one one place to get the Mini's bandaged up, and that is in Fife. Down by Tacoma.

My windows would not always drop the 1/4" upon opening and closing the doors. Imagine how horrible it is to see and hear the window vibrate because the glass is still at the top of the track when you open the door. The MINI dealership didn't worry about it because the car behaved for them. Then, sqeaks and groans when the windows were put down. The manager authorized new mechanisms and squeaks gone. Apparently, this is a common issue. Now I notice that there are lines on the window so I better add it to the list. Velveteen MINI is only 8000 k away from being out of warranty.

Make a list and take the car to a dealership for warranty repairs.

So what did they do to fix it? I have the EXACT problem!  It actually seems to have a glitch when I try to close the driverside window.....Has anyone else had this problem and had it fixed?

Thanks,
YakiMini

MINI-less... If God allows, I will have one again some day. :D

They replaced the motors, I'm pretty sure. On both doors.

The windows still don't always drop but it's a heap load better than it was.
