A lot of the MINI cars we used for the Christmas tree a couple years back didn't survive and we thought it might be fun to make more for this year's tree, but need your help. Good activity for the family as well! Go to http://www.papercars.net/newMini.html and configure and print car combinations of your choice. You can change the car color, the roof color, add or delete one of the roof graphics, etc., to get it just the way you want it. How about everyone make one like their car and bring it? Put your name on the bottom if you want to be sure to get it back after the party. If the color combinations shown don't have the right configuration, just print out an all white one and color and accent it the way you want it! Any extras are welcome. (I know I put my Mom & Dad to work the first year in making about 150!) No Cabrios, Clubmans, or Countrymans, but there is a Classic MINI if you look under 'The Cars'.
You'll also find some construction tips under the 'Building' tab. Be sure to print on heavier paper, like card stock. Putting the curl in the hood and boot does really help with the shape. We used a glue stick when we made them and then poked a couple of holes in the roof and knotted a string for the hanger - you can use a metal hanger as well, they were just a little trickier.
Here's a couple of pictures of ones we made and the tree at the party that year:
Have some fun and bring your results!

If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.
