Hi,
Does anyone have any recommendations for a mechanic? I'm open to traveling down to Seattle but would prefer to find someone closer to Mt. Vernon. I was a dealer snob but with the world coming to an end I have a hard time accepting their fees. I think my rear brakes are due to be replaced and I'm coming close to the 60K mark. Thanks, Jasper |

I have been known to help out club members in need...
Thanks to my track addiction, I'm doing something with my brakes several times per year. I'm in Bothell. |

Thanks for all of the info... I'll check out Zanhntech - they quoted me less than the dealer and I was told they are using the same parts.
Corners - maybe you'd be interested in meeting up for coffee in Bothell? I'm guessing you have quite a few mods on your car. Since my MINI is out of warranty, I'm slowly letting go of the idea of only having stock modifications (JCW). Did some research online but there is too much noise about what to upgrade and when it comes to mechanical stuff I get... Lets just say I don't know what I'm doing.

Sure, I'd be happy to. Send me a private message and we can figure out a time.

Jaspar:
If you want to head north to Bellingham, I'd highly recommend Ron Ager at NW European Autoworks (360) 715-3876. He's done a lot of work on my car, and I've always been pleased with the results and prices. If you want to start upgrading the performance of your Mini, he can do whatever you want. The biggest bang for your buck, and noticable, improvements are the 15% supercharger pulley and cold air intake (CAI) modifications, followed by a tune from Jan (Revolutiion Mini Works (RMW) ... see another thread on this on this site). The best handling upgrades are upsizing the rear sway bar and replacing the front lower control arm bushings with polyurethane. Ron has done all this work for me, so you can trust that your's will not be the beta-test car. Best of luck, Craig

I see you guys are looking for best diesel mechanic than I would suggest you to take services of this company , they are best in my knowledge , I took their services two time and always a big savior for me. Someone asked me to do search for his Audi or BMW repair for some patches or window damages than I referred him to this site. |
