As promised I am requesting an application to be a part of this years Monroe Fair Days.  Hope you can join us. As soon as I have details available will post.

Parade is usually at 11, you should get there at 9.
 
I am so mad..because this is down the road from my house and of COURSE it's the day of my friend's wedding that I am part of! Her ceremony is at 2...maybe I could at least swing by to say hi to everyone :(

FYI I'm still waiting for the gal at Monroe Chamber to email the application She said she was new. I'll give her a few more days and then bug her. BTW she didn't know what a mini cooper was. Would be a hoot if a couple of us mini's showed up at the Chamber, huh?

Ok, Sanaye received the application and we are sending it in.  They also provided a list of rules and regulations along with a map of the parade and staging area (same as prior years).  You'll find them here:  Monroe Parade Info  (the side type was cutoff before I scanned it, but you'll get the idea)
This is a big and fun parade, so join in, if you can.  There are some notable items in the regulations:
  • can't throw candy or novelty items (but you can have walkers distribute them along the route)
  • can't use water guns or super soakers, squirt guns, etc. (boo)

Colors are:  Reds, Blues, Stripes, 50's look so a lot of the 4th of July decorations will work.

Thanks Linda for posting the Monroe Fair Days parade info.  Yeah lucky we can reuse 4th of July decorations. Its a month away hope enough notice for those of you planning to attend.

This is a fun parade that I hate to miss. I love doing the Red, White and Blue too.

Ok - time to fish or cut bait!  Sanaye has had something come up and won't be able to attend the parade.  If we don't have at least 10 cars committed for this, I think we should cancel.  It is always a fun parade, but I know this has been a really weird year for events.
Let me know if you plan on participating by Monday by posting here.
