Hi everyone. I'm starting a new thread because Jan's flight was cancelled and the old thread was getting way too long.
New dates have been confirmed for February 3 and 4. However --- there are three of us (at least) who are unable to make these new dates because we will be out of town. So... is there ANYONE who we can bribe to drive our MINIs down to Tacoma for the tune?? I'm envisioning dropping off the car key in advance, and then then much appreciated volunteer would come pick up the car, drive to Tacoma, enjoy a free meal while waiting for the tune to be completed, then drive the car back. We have been waiting for years in some cases and really need the power of the club to make this a reality! Total bummer that the weather screwed us. Do we keep the same times we were assigned? I was to have my tune on Sat at 2pm cause that will work for me on feb.4 .lmk

I suppose that would be optimal, but for me and the other two people who are out of town, we may need to make some adjustments to meet the schedules of our couriers.
The people who have offered to help me so far have said that it needs to be after 2pm or on a Saturday, so the original time unfortunately will not work for me. Is anyone willing to swap their Saturday time or after 2pm time for my Friday 945am slot?

I'm a re-tune, so put me at the back of the pack. I'm also probably the farthest from Tacoma, and am going to be gone for three weeks, so I think I'm out of the courier thing. Sell my slot if you can! :-)

I really hope that all you folks who need a courier can find one! There was nobody on this side of The Sound that is even getting a Tune, let alone needing a courier.

Isn't anyone on the east side of the Sound going to help Kurt get his MINI to The Tune? His job is taking him out of the Country and he needs someone to shuttle (drive) his car to and from the dyno shop in Tacoma. All it is is the time involved to drive to Tacoma and back from where ever you may be located and you could help the guy who put this Tune together!!!

Just noticed this thread update (I only get about 30% of email notifications from this forum for some reason).
Swapping Friday for Saturday 2pm slots would be a great help. Erhan has said he could help me if I had a Saturday time slot.

I think I found a courier yesterday thank GOD Im gonna owe him big time because he lives in Federal Way come to my house in Elk Plain and drive to Tacoma then back to my house then he drives back to Fed Way. So I owe him big time, it's nice to have friends like that you know. So anyways I think Im golden for 3pm on Sat. Thanks.

I might be able to take the 10:45am slot... Been in AZ for 2 months and fly in on the 2nd... I do have new rear brakes & rotors waiting for me to put on... its down to metal... Maybe I can have the shop put those on after tune... I'll let you know after weekend
