Hi Brenda!
Sorry for the late reply. I was doing Army reintegration stuff. I will not be able to drive that far... hopefully something closer.

Genie B,

For this Photo my settings were 100mm Canon Macro lens at:  F 7.1 - 1/200 sec - ISO 200. I use the pop up flash from the camera to get rid of the soft focus and to obtain more vibrancy. Next time take a picture with and without flash even if you are outdoors and let me know.

Henry,

My biggest problem (what bother me about my photos) is soft focus due to hand-holding. I admit I don't like using a tripod. The more I use my camera, the steadier I get, so I'm trying to use it more.

Cheers!

Wow!
That it is a great idea. Now, I have to find me a DVD lens from one off my roommates. Hopefully they do not have to play a movie soon. Wink

Hi Genie B,

I left my tripod at home in WA and I am hand holding the camera trying to rest it on my hand for more stabilization. I can't wait to return back to WA and start taking lots of macro photos.

Hi Henry,

The aphids creeped me out, but I love your macros. Are you using a tripod?
You've renewed my interest in getting out my macro lens!

Here are some photos of a wild flower that I placed in a water bottle lid to hold it in place.

Cool pics!  I'm amazed at the magnification! Shocked  I really need to invest in a nicer camera so I can capture pictures like these.

Wow John!
You are fast! Greetings from Kuwait.
Henry

Aphids, also known as plant lice (and in Britain as greenflies),[1] are small plant-eating insects, and members of the superfamily Aphidoidea.[2] Aphids are among the most destructive insect pests on cultivated plants in temperate regions.

Natural enemies include predatory lady beetles (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae),

No wonder we have so many Lady bugs flying around. (The circle of life!)

Hi to all!

Look twice next time you want to sniff a beautiful flower.

I pick up this flower today to show my fellow soldiers about macro photography. To my surprise the flower was infected with these bugs. I was unable to see them at naked eyes. Here are two photos of the same kind of wild flower.

Hi Stephen!
I can do it, but I do not have a miniature mini car here with me to take the picture. Here is the photo of $10.00 dollar bill. Try to spot the letters above Hamilton name with the naked eye.
