Genie B, For this Photo my settings were 100mm Canon Macro lens at: F 7.1 - 1/200 sec - ISO 200. I use the pop up flash from the camera to get rid of the soft focus and to obtain more vibrancy. Next time take a picture with and without flash even if you are outdoors and let me know. Henry

Very interesting idea and macros!
Henry,
The butterfly is Fabulous. The brilliant yellow flower makes the subtle butterfly colors pop! Mother Nature gives us incredible photo ops!
My biggest problem (what bother me about my photos) is soft focus due to hand-holding. I admit I don't like using a tripod. The more I use my camera, the steadier I get, so I'm trying to use it more.

Hi Genie B, I left my tripod at home in WA and I am hand holding the camera trying to rest it on my hand for more stabilization. I can't wait to return back to WA and start taking lots of macro photos. Henry |
