Henry,

It will be good to see all the I Corps troops come home to Joint Base Lewis McChord. It will be especially good to see you, I bet your family is excited. I am still at the DOIM, now called the Network Enterprise Center (NEC). Be sure to look me up or give me a call when you return. Safe return!

Hey Henry ... when I discovered that your post from earlier today popped into my in-box, it defintely was time to log on and say hello.  Since many of us didn't meet up with you during your short stint in the south end, there should be a crowd this time around - just in time for good weather and a few road trips.  Be safe.

Hi Brenda and all of you!

The camels are about 3 years old and they use them on the camel race track and for meat some times. They are very expensive when they are sold for the race track. They keep the older one at the leash to prevent the rest of them to go away.

Hi Henry,

I loved the photo of the camel drinking from the bottle.  How cute!  Any idea how old it is?

Do you happen to have a Facebook account?  Maybe I could follow your adventures while you're over there in Kuwait.  I have a Facebook buddy/co-worker who's a reserve paramedic near you and he posts all the time.  You could post photos there too.  Anyway, take care and keep in touch...

Cheers,
Brenda Smile

Welcome Henry. good to here from you. As Don said Kuwait is not bad considering the choices.

From you pictures looks like the natives are laid back.

Keep in touch and thank you Henry.

Good to hear from you, many have asked about you hoping you would post again.  I let them know you had been deployed but I was not sure where.  Kuwait is not bad considering the alternatives.  Hope your family is doing ok and the rear det is helping with any needs they may have.

Great pictures!  It does look hot for sure.  Please keep in touch and thanks for your service.

Hi, Henry.   Welcome.  I'm just catching up on some maintenance and have a request.
Now that this thread is 12 pages long as an 'introduction' () maybe we could have you pose new questions etc. via new threads under MINI Talk or other appropriate forum headings?  More people might catch some of your questions that way and give you addional input.  Also makes it easier to page through the post to find something.  You  might find others that have had the same questions as well.  If you need help knowing where to post, just give a shout or PM me.

Thanks,
Linda

This morning I purchase the wheels Web spokes from Baxter. They are in good shape!
Also got the mini back from Northwest after they replaced the oil pan gasket seal.

I was there around 9:30, and just waiting for the phone call to go and pick the car up. I think also that the winter fuel is the problem of my pinging problem.

I must have just missed you, I was there earlier this AM to look at the new Cabrio.  They replaced my oil pan gasket a few weeks back plus several other things - had it in for the first major maintenance.  Hope the pinging has settled down for you now that you have changed gas.  The oil companies are changing over from their winter formula to summer formula, wonder if that had anything to do with your pinging.

I just drop off my car at NW to fix the oil pan gasket leak. It will be 5 hours job and hopefully I will get it back today. Got a loaner; convertible Mini cooper,  automatic 08.

Thank you John for the web site!
The mini is working better and the ping have been reduced a lot. I guess you got to try all gas station before you find the best for your mini.

Thanks Don, I saw the tag on Henry's NAM sig and I was wondering if he did something special since the mod carried his name. But I see Henry points out it was just the spring mod.

Over here Mini's really like Chevron. Here Henry Dave posted this site last year talking about gasoline.

Hi to all!
Well, after filling up the tank with the Shell 92 gas the pinging have been reduced to a minimum, Wow... I can't believe!
I don't know why the shell gas is more expensive than Chevron but it worked.
