FIAT Enthusiasts Northwest car club invites you to participate in the...

***

The Oregon Covered Bridge Tour, a budget-minded driving adventure through Oregon and Washington States.  This is a non-competitive event consisting of approximately 600 miles of driving over three days using straight forward turn-by-turn route instructions.  The route includes rural farmland, forested mountains, rolling hills, small towns, and of course a few covered bridges.  Registration is limited to 20 cars (16 spots left as of 5/3/11).

The Oregon Covered Bridge Tour will start on Saturday, October 1st at Griot’s Garage in Tacoma, Washington and finish in Centralia, Washington on Monday, October 3rd.  The exact route will remain secret until we depart Griot's.  Route finding instructions will be detailed and clear and will not require any calculations or rally knowledge/skills.  The event consists of 100% paved roads, with some mountainous terrain and driving is scheduled during daylight hours.

Included in the registration fee of $350.00 (per two person team) is:

ü  Two nights lodging at McMenamin’s Grand Lodge in Forest Grove, Oregon

ü  Continental breakfast on all three days

ü  A box lunch on Sunday

ü  A banquet meal on Sunday evening

ü  Turn-by-turn route book for each day

More info and the registration form can be found at:

That looks like a hoot. Unfortunately I've used up all my weekend passes... The only way I could make this is in our minivan...

That would work great. I could use my track 4 point harness to buckle them in. Also, have them wear rain gear in case it rains.

Problem is they would probably argue over who gets to ride on it.

That's awesome - I'm so glad to hear you're going to make a go of this event.  We just couldn't make the timing on this work for us, but we toured a number of the covered bridges down there a few years ago and LOVED it.  Have a fabulous time!

Two additional rooms have become available, so two more spots are open!

Registration closes on August 30th.

There are three Minis among the current field of 22 cars.
