PSMINI.org 2010 Officers and appointments
While we haven’t had the formal turnover meeting as yet to pick up the treasurer’s responsibilities from Mitch, the 2010 officers are already working to take advantage of several opportunities and face the challenges ahead. There is much we want to accomplish this year and we’ll share additional details and provide opportunities for your involvement as we go. Meanwhile, I’d like to run down the roles and people in place today:
· OFFICER CONTACTS: Individual mailboxes for direct communications with your new officers as follows:
o mailto:President@psmini.org - will be the mailbox used to reach the club President, Linda Grouell (‘WOODSTOCK’ on our forum). Please feel free to contact her with any general club issues, suggestions, or need for information.
o mailto:VicePresident@psmini.org - will be the mailbox used to reach the club Vice President, John O’Melveny (‘Peabody’ on our forum). Please feel free to contact him with vendor questions or issues. John will be working on reconnecting with all our vendors and assessing our relationship with each to provide the best benefit for both parties.
o mailto:Treasurer@psmini.org - will be the mailbox used to reach the club Financial Officer, Karin Nilsson (‘4LVCLVR’ on our forum). Please feel free to contact her with financial questions or issues pertaining to our financial status. Once turnover has taken place, Karin will monitor our finances and post club financial summaries for members on a quarterly basis.
o mailto:Secretary@psmini.org - will be the mailbox used to reach the club Communications Officer, Belinda Newman-Prince (‘MiniCharley’ on our forum). Please feel free to contact her if you have questions about general club communications, flyers, promotional materials, newsletter distribution, etc.
o mailto:Events@psmini.org - will be the mailbox used to reach the club Events Officer, Martin Wild (‘Wildfamily’ on our forum). Please feel free to contact him if you have questions about event planning or need assistance. This is a pretty big category right now and Martin will be delegating some of his responsibilities to appointees as we go. Our events effort will include managing the calendar(s) for all our events (track, parade, picnic, car show, coffees, and driving). Martin also serves as a touch point for calendar coordination with other clubs involving joint events.
· 2010 Appointments: The following members have been appointed by the board to serve in the capacity indicated. Our thanks to those that have served in these roles in the past and welcome to those taking on new responsibilities.
o Webmaster: Roy Morey (‘Roy’ on our forum) will continue to serve as our webmaster and you’ll be seeing changes coming as we re-vamp the website and forum to better meet the needs of the club.
o Newsletter Editor: Ed Sisk (‘Silver Surfer’ on our forum) is taking on the role of producing the newsletter. Our thanks to Liz Smart for producing the Fall issue. Ed is working on the Year-End Winter issue and you’ll see that very soon.
o Parade Coordinator: This position remains unfilled and Martin is coordinating with local volunteers, as needed. Let us know if this is an area of interest for you.
o Regalia Coordinator: Karin Nilsson (‘4LFCLVR’ on our forum) has agreed to continue in this role and will be launching an effort very soon to develop a new logo and merchandise.
UPDATE 9/2010:
o Membership Coordinator: Beth Morey (‘EscapePod’ on our
forum) is going to be handling the membership billing and renewals, along with new memberships. She will take on the maintenance of the member database effective immediately. A new email box has been set up for membership inquiries: mailto:membership@psmini.org -
