They say tomorrow is going to be the snowpocolypse. Or slushocolypse tomorrow. Which every appears, if anything, are you going to try and brave the snow or stay home?

Are you a wimp to your co-workers if you bag it and stay at home?

I have no choice- the place I work at has call letters followed by "-TV" so I have to be there, especially since I drive one of the satellite trucks (the big one).  So there will be at least one R50 out tomorrow.

Two come to think of it.  It's "hell week" (final week of rehearsal for Xanadu) for Stacie this week so she is having to drive down to Tacoma from West Seattle every evening and then back again.  She might crash stay with a friend down there if it gets too bad.  Today's task will be to rotate her tires and give her a lesson on how to put on chains.

Good luck driving that heavy truck!  Just don't be one of those newscasters who stands in the street to show how bad it is(bad idea) and thus making it worse for the drivers on the roadway!

I will be with you. My wife and I actually got a hotel room out by the airport. It is close to her work (she has to be there as well.) and I work in the Kent Valley so close for me as well.

I had to leave the GTO at home but the Coupe gets around just fine. I actually took the goat out on Saturday with just a tiny bit of snow on the ground and was that a mistake. Rear wheel drive cars like that just do not go in snow. It was scary. I was trying to keep the Coupe nice and clean. Well it's not a virgin any longer. The poor thing is just filthy now. Welcome to Seattle weather Brewster.

( I just heard on KIRO that there is a blue Mini Cooper in the ditch and the announcer said no that's not a blue tennis shoe it actually is a car. LOL. I hope they are ok!!)

So I guess we'll both see how it goes tomorrow. I'm hearing it's supposed to begin at 4 or 5 am tomorrow morning. We shall see????.....

No, the car came with Conti summer only run flat tread. I have those sitting in the garage. I took em off right away. I have Conti Extreme Contact DWS all season non run flats on the car now. I think these tires are great. They handle like a dream and really make the ride nice. So far they have worked well in the little bit of snow we have had so far. I guess the real test will come tomorrow.

The wheels I had on my R56 won't fit this car. I'm going to get a set of Team Dynamic 1.2 wheels for the summer Conti's sitting in the garage. The vendor that I was going to get the wheels from is out of stock and is waiting on the factory to get some more.

Thanks Dave, I think I will hold out with my DWS's and wait for the white stuff tonight. You guys need to stop hogging all the white stuff LOL. What is your wife running on her Mini?

Not sure who you are talking to John,
My wife runs the same DWS Conti's. She runs the run flats in the winter and the non run flats in the summer.

Sounds good John.
It's just easier for us to have separate wheels for summer and winter. We can change the wheels and tires at home in our garage. Gives us a chance to clean the wheels really well and put some wax on the backside etc. High initial cost though.

(Kids are grown and gone so that helps)WooHoo

Second that, I have 3 sets since I added the current Motegi rims with the DWSs. Was someone you wanted the TD rims from?

I think the TD's are probably better rims but the motegi are 3 pound lighter and I could feel the difference dropping 30 pounds on wheels.

My only worry is the forecasted accumulation of 10inches.  My MINI will become a snow plower in that scenario, so I'll have to stay home...

I'm going in unless the office closes!  (Although very little chance of that occurring).  I won't be driving the Mini though.  Yesterday, we put the studded Nokians on our all wheel drive car.  Since we live on a challenging hill, at the end of a deadend road and it's a 15 mile drive to the freeway, I've come to rely on the winter tires during snow events.  So far, no problems even when driving through 6 inches of snow.  However, tomorrow could be interesing if the predictions hold up!

I hope everyone that has to be out and about tomorrow (Wednesday) has a very safe and uneventfull journey and arrive at their destination with no bad experiences with the hundreds of drivers out there who have no respect for the conditions.
