Hey MINI wine enthusiast friends! Please join me for a motor around Des Moines ending up at the 6th Annual Poverty Bay Wine Festival. First 2 posts to RSVP yes win a free ticket! What: WINE tasting! When: Sunday, March 7, 2009, noon! Meet: South end of the Des Moines Marina at Anthony’s Home Port, 421 S. 227th St., Des Moines, Washington at noon. Dress: Casual MINI attire. I'm not a wine person either so I didn't go last year but after looking at the feedback from last year's event, it looked like there was some beer and, better yet, there was chocolate! But I'll let Allison confirm all that.

Apparently the Triumph club is holding a car show at the wine festival on Saturday, March 6 and we (minis) were asked to come on Sunday only. Let me know if Sunday is good for everybody.

Hi all,
Calling all minis! I've just been informed that the Triumph Club will be bringing 40 cars to the Saturday wine festival. I have 12 minis (2 of which are mine! he he!) signed up so far for our mini Sunday wine festival run. Holy cow do we need to show them up! My GR8SCOT will take the lead and my 2010 pepper white will hold up the end this year to make sure we don't lose any minis on the motor. There are a lot of stop lights in Des Moines. I lost a mini last year and it made me so sad.

Update: I'm working on a short motor south from our meeting place at Anthony's Home Port through some twisties (and hopefully stopping off at a private beach club for a photo op... I'm working on it!) to Redondo and back again to Des Moines ending up at the wine festival. Bring your camera and walkie talkie set to channel 7/21... |
