Since we will be ditching the runflats on Anne's clubman shortly, does anybody know a good source for one of the doughnut temp spare tires. Since there is room for one in the back of the clubman and Anne isn't comfortable not having one for an emergency I'd like to pick one up. Not sure who sells them.

Thanks!

Why not call around the junk yards and see if you can find a wrecked MINI (sad) or other car with a similar tire size? you can probably find one cheap.

If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.

Thanks John..I checked out the Mini Mania site...had to laugh at that price. They have got to be kidding. I did some poking around and found that the space saver spare from the Chevy Cobalt fits the MINI..and costs about $30-40 bucks at the junkyard. I'm thinking that might be the way to go!

Gordon,

That's a good idea too, but the clubman has a spare tire well for the space saver so would like to use that rather than hog up the boot with a full size spare.

'started down this path late last year for CARMEN.

Try this outfit - I acquired a 'never been on the ground' donut for $65, but timing counts for a lot since it depends on whether they have any to part out at the time.

Their web site (& their phone system) have to be one of the best I've ever interacted with, and they're local (West Seattle).  Call at 206-935-0872.

2008 MCS : almost 92k miles, full Service Bulletin SIM 11 02 07 performed at 63,964 by a Mini dealer. So far, so good.

They're holding my car's doppelganger hostage.  A bit of light bodywork and you have a perfectly nice MINI with only 27 k on it.  I'm serious about this, and just waiting to win MegaMillions.
