Heads up, everyone!  Let's show up and help launch the new Countryman as well as send some of our members off with the caravan towards Denver!
 

NEW MINI COUNTRYMAN & MTTS LAUNCH EVENTS

  

Seattle MINI is hosting an evening launch party for the new Countryman on August 7th at 5pm and has invited all of us to attend.  You’ll get a chance to see and feel the newest MINI as it heads for MTTS (MINI Takes The States) in Denver. There is a BBQ planned along with entertainment for the evening.  Please plan on attending.  RSVP to the email below so they can get a feel for the numbers attending.

 

On Sunday morning, August 8th, Seattle MINI is leading  a caravan down to NW MINI.  We’ll meet for coffee and donuts (provided by Frost donuts!) and then escort the Countryman as we make our way to NW MINI for a 10am light brunch launch event.  We want as many in the caravan as we can get and are planning on avoiding the freeway.  Again, an RSVP to the email address is appreciated.

 

The caravan will depart NW MINI around noon on Sunday, heading to Rasmussen MINI in Portland for a launch party there that evening.  We’d love to have you join us for that leg as well and if you can, give us a heads up via the RSVP email.  We’re going to use backroads wherever possible to get there.  The MINIUSA NW Regional Manager, Jeff Wight will be joining us for this entire event and driving the new Countryman.

We're definitely planning to be there on Saturday evening for the BBQ - sure would be nice to have a good turnout from PSMINI!   Sounds like they've got a fun evening planned!

I've also heard a rumor plans are in the works for a fun drive Sunday from Seattle MINI to NW MINI - got to show Jeff Wight and the new Countryman some of our awesome local roads.  Add in some Frost donuts, and what could be better?  Who's joining us?

Not sure if I'll get Cheetah back i.e. A/C service but would love to go on Sunday Aug 8th.  Wonder if Seattle Mini will let me drive the loaner to Denver? LOL Not really.

Unfortunately, I'm working FD Saturday but I get off work Sunday morning. I hope to catch the caravan somewhere between Seattle MINI and the Federal Way area. Heck, I may be tempted to join in on the caravan to Portland (although I do have to be back to work on Monday morning). I'm looking to buy a Mac computer, so this may be my excuse to get down to Oregon and save on the tax.

Yes, saving on the tax will help a lot especially when I'm looking at spending around $2,000 for a Mac. It better be worth the change from my PC that crashed for the 3rd time.

2 Grand?  Wow, the sales tax on that will be WAAAY more than the cost of gas to go to Oregon!  So, to paraphrase the ads:  Savings on new computer - almost $200, combining it with a MINI run with your friends - priceless.

Please note time change on the Saturday evening event to 5PM in order to get people in before the Lake City Kids Parade at 6PM and the Grande Parade at 7PM.

Also, approach from the South via Northgate Way or Lake City Way south of 123rd since it will be blocked off there.

Here you go Charlie......Sunday August 8th at 8am-  The Rally is on!!!  Meet us at Seattle MINI for the MINI Takes the States kick off leg down to our Sister Store, Northwest MINI and beyond to Portland.  This event is called 'The Doughnut Drive'  http://www.frostology.com/  Doughnuts very kindly supplied by our good friends at Frost, well worth getting out of bed for!
