We had 10 MINIs from the club make the trek down to Portland for the all MINI track day put on by Rasmussen MINI of Portland yesterday. The event was well attended with nearly 100 MINIs showing up. Experience levels ranged from novice all the way up to expert and included rotations between the autocross course, lapping on the track and classroom instruction. Rasmussen also provided lunch and a scenic drive up to the Ape Caves near Mt St Helens. Many of our folks got to experience their first time pushing their cars in a track environment and it looked like everybody had big grins coming of the track. I think Susan's comments were the best, but I leave those to her to publish! LOL LOL

This was a great event! This was the first time I got to take my MINI on the track. Great price point and it was a blast taking the car on a professional track. I'll look forward to the next one!

Any pictures or film?

Ken did they confirm that this would do this agian next year?

As a kid I always wanted to drive at PIR and if this going to happen agian I can plan for it.
If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.

I have some pictures and videos - but need a day or two to sort and post. 
Do you guys have any preferred method to do this?

This was taken with my iPhone 4, fastened to my rear view mirror with a couple of strips of electrician's tape. :-)

What ever works best for you Kurt when it comes to pictures. If you have them stored else where on the net a link to them is just fine. For video I think you tube is the most popular, since out file size up loads are small here at the club formed.

We were talking to Ann Fry at the track and she was already planning for next year's event.  I'm sure going to keep my eye on it!
