2012 PSMINI Family Picnic & MINI Swap Meet - Event Date: August/26/12

PSMINI Family Picnic - Sunday, August 26th

 

Jack and I have once again reserved Camp Patterson on Silver Lake and look forward to hosting the 4rd Annual PSMINI Family Picnic.

 

The picnic is located at Thornton A. Sullivan Park / Camp Patterson, 11405 Silver Lake Road, Everett, WA 98208. Map to location. We will have the big field up and to the left of the swimming area near the big parking area. You will find a gate off the parking area that we will mark so you can drive inside. Oh, if you are a party of two or more you can use the Park-n-Ride exit at 112^th.  It’s a left hand exit from I-5 both southbound and northbound.  Go up the ramp to the light on 112^th and then turn Left at the light and take the next Right and you’ll come out right by the park.

 

We’ll see if we can put together another pre-picnic drive and will plan on some games as well.

 

This is intended to be a relaxing, low key, fun event giving you a chance to kick back, savor a potluck picnic lunch and enjoy being with others as MINI crazy as you are!

Set aside Sunday, August 26th - it will be a fun day!

We will have inside the fence parking on a grassy area for our cars, a private sheltered picnic area with a huge bbq grill, electricity and a prep sink - covered eating areas, lots of space, our own restrooms, swimming and boating activities for all ages, and a big playground for the kids. The area is ours from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM

A couple of caveats, due to the rules of the Everett Parks Department. Because it's a public swimming beach, I'm afraid pets must sit this event out.   Also, we'll need to stick to non-alcoholic beverages.

Count me in and most likely Steve too. I had a blast with the games even though I didn't do that well last year. LOL The group drive on the way to the park was a blast too!

I may be out of town, but if I'm not, I expect to be there! 

I will be there! Terry may be able to come with, but not sure.

Will be there. Will also try to get Scott (Majestic Coop) to go as well!

This event was a lot of fun last year! Wouldn't miss it so I'll be there again, Tracey will be there, and we are tracking down a couple other MINI friends who are interested in joining the club and meeting all of you.

Something about MINIs parked on the grass and hamburgers grilling in the park makes me smile.

We will plan to arrive about 11 unless there is a drive and then we'll be on the drive and arrive with everyone else. See you there.

Just a thought Dave, chipmunk or squirrel burgers might be more MINI size...

Everett may as well be Saskatchewan for all this south-ender knows. Anybody with nav. heading there from here, maybe I can follow you.

Also, I cant stay in the north-end too late ya know, I need to be back in Burien before they close the gate, so any idwhew hat time the cooking might happen?    

And... Is there a bike trail from this park, or a good road route.   I'm training for an event in September , and need to ride some every day.

All that said, can't wait to meet up with my MINI pals. I also have a friend that just purchased a MINI, perhaps she'll join us too.

Can we polish our cars and stuff while we're there?
