I usually just use Google maps on my Iphone 4 but have been trying out a program called Waze. It is user based so you can add traffic jams, police, accidents as you are driving. It is free and works well but I have had it tell me the wrong exit twice.

Waze is great for finding out about traffic conditions!  Also where WSP is hiding...

I have used it for 6 months.

I wish there was a local MINI Dealership, like our Honda, Subaru, Mazada and VW.

You all do know you can get Garmin downloads for your smart phones.

Yep.

Still trying to find out if anyone has used the Passport IQ by Escort.

Garmin now owns Navigon, so technically I have a Garmin download Wink

Stephen - I use Waze as well when I'm in areas that I know already (I-5 from Seattle to Portland), I really like the ability to flag speed traps and road hazards for other users.

Sam:  That was why I downloaded WAZE since I already had the Garmin Nuvi.

Since I use the i-Phone for gauges in my MINI I might have to reconsider doing that and just get a temp gauge for the MINI and use the i-Phone for navigation and speed traps.

The Passport IQ from Escort is supposed to do it all as far as navigation, speed traps, etc.

WAZE is not perfect and it relies on user input which as we all know can be sketchy at timesShocked for various reasons, but better than nothing.  Getting a person lost is not a good thing.

Since I have a Garmin 260W and WAZE I would take the Garmin for navigation long before WAZE.  WAZE is good for WSP notification and traffic conditions.Smile
