I can't believe I am the first to post here I thought for sure I would see GUMBY and Ronald McDonald and you can't beilve what else went on this morning

Byrne - I thought the same thing... I was surprised no one had posted yet. I'm glad you did because I'm ashamed to say that I didn't take any photos of the parade. I'll be looking forward to seeing Genie's and the other gang's photos.
I had a wonderful time as usual hanging out with my old MINI friends, and how cool to see some new faces as well (Jim "J Dubya" and Jon "JonnyKat"). My oh my, there were some innovative and original MINI costumes out there! I was impressed.
 This was my 2nd parade (only 2nd to the Burien 4th of July parade last year). I can hardly wait to the next one. Nice job everyone.  Thanks to Calvin "Grape Ape" for organizing this. You ROCK!
 Also, my husband Steve and I had a great time hanging out with those who joined us for lunch at Red Hook in Woodinville. Good times!

Many thanks to Calvin & Brenda and a great job ordinating and keep us Miniac's on our good behavior and coffee & muffins. It was a awesome day and we actually got to watch the parade this time. Also to Ed for the Cheetah badges.... great job, Ed. Good to see new faces Johnnykat & his daughter from Yakima. The boxing nun was a riot since I was behind him and laughing my head off. Welcome back JJ & Stephanie thought I overwhelmed him at XXX Burger. Can't wait for the next parade. Sanaye

PSMINI MOTORS DOWN TOWN WOODINVILLE
WOODINVILLE, Washington – Puget Sound MINI Motoring Club (PSMINI) was hailed by cheering crowds that packed sidewalks and parking lots in downtown Woodinville during the 32nd annual All Fools Day Parade, 27 March.
Leading the pack of 18 MINIs were Woodstock, President of PSMINI and Grape Ape, MINI Master of Ceremonies and Designated Cat Herder.
“What a great time to see old friends and welcome new club members,” said Cho Cho, Mini Cooper Open-Top Wing Commander and PSMINI Public Relations Officer (PRO). “Our group really comes together during these events as we share our passion for the MINI motoring adventure.”
All the MINIs were adorned with “green” themed decorations to showcase their environmental friendly personality and alternate source for power. Some of the MINIs were equipped with specially made windup keys, wind powered pinwheels, colorful static discharge grass skirts, boxing nun fist pumps, and flower and leaf solar power cells. One MINI featured a special roaring fuel injected clean green burning “Gumby Dash” power source that thrilled the crowd.
“We decorated our MINIs in tune with this year’s All Fools Go Green theme,” said Tombo, Mini Cooper Open-Top Tail Gunner and MINI Environmental Consultant (MEC). “We got a little creative on finding alternate sustainable methods for powering the MINI.”
During the parade, 18 MINIs motored down the “main drag” in pairs while conducting the precision MINI weave maneuver. The weave demonstrates some of the maneuvering characteristic, handling, and nimbleness of the MINI.
“The Mini Weave originally came from a naval aerial combat tactic called the Thach Weave,” said Tombo, Imperial Guard Human History Expert (HHE).
Silver Cabrio Cinema (SCC) crew members were also present to film the parade of MINIs for a feature block buster short movie to be released sometime this year. Puget Sound MINI Motoring Club is the premier motoring club of Washington State. Cho Cho and Tombo are the furry-faced, tail-waving members of the Puget Sound MINI Motoring Club and adjutant to the A&E commission. |

Thanks so much to Calvin & Brenda! What a great day! The good weather brought out more Bassett Hounds and kids than I remember from previous parades! And, for the first time, we got to see alot of the parade from our staging area! What a great turnout of MINIs - I loved meeting some new MINI folks! The crowd loved our MINIs. And, they loved GUMBY!

Thanks for welcoming me back for my 2nd event. No Cheetah and Genie, you didn't scare me off with your uber-friendliness :) I had a great time in the parade slaloming with Pixel. It was great meeting some new friends, and reconnecting with some old ones too (and learning your names, not just your cars).

One of my friends working in the Renton plant yesterday said he overheard some workers talking about all the Mini's in the Woodenville parade and how cool they all were. He said one of them had Gumby in it. I think we got attention.
