Here's an update on the GUMBY DASH for this Parade
Since there are 17 MINIS I plan to take up the rear
as we all line up 2 x 2 and every time our group has to stop
for any reason I will in GUMBY attire run to the front of the pack of MINIS
 and start winding them all up on the way back to my MINI.
 
In front of the Judges I propose we all stop before the Judges stand where the GREEN FOOL GUMBY will wind up each MINI 1 at a time and we go 1 x 1 past the judging booth.

Coffee and muffins will be there at 8:00 and check in 10:00 at the very latest. We always like people to show up early so we can visit and it gives us time to wipe the drool off of all the cars. Drool

Due to complications with use of the Park & Ride, we have changed the parade route and staging area.

 

 

 

This year, Woodinville’s annual All Fools’ Day Parade will be held Saturday, March 27, beginning at 11 a.m. Registration at 8:00 am  and all cars must be lined up by 10:00am                                                (For the first time, the parade will start at 132nd Ave NE by Banner Bank) and the Woodinville Cemetery and proceed east on NE 175th St. It will turn onto Garden Way/138th Ave. NE and end there.

   Check-in will be by the Woodinville Weekly (13342 NE 175th St and next door to the Post Office).  You may enter the parking lot by Mi Tierra on NE 175th for drop-off/check-in.

Guard Makes Preps for 2010 Woodinville All Fools Day Parade
 
WOODINVILLE, Washington ----  Deployment orders were issued today for the Imperial Guard to  join Puget Sound MINI Motoring Club during the Woodinville All Fools day parade.
 
The guard will be augmenting 16+ MINIs from the elite motoring group that will be motoring down the parade route, showcasing their MINIs festooned in this year’s “All Fools Go All Green” theme.
 
“I can’t think of a better way to start the Spring festivities than with a parade of MINIs motoring in the new season,” said Cho Cho, Imperial Guard Mini Cooper Open-Top Wing Commander and MINI Parade Coordinator (MPC). “Rain or shine, we’re going to bring some motoring fun to this parade. We do this for the peoples!”
 
The parade will be held on Saturday, March 27, at 11 a.m. The parade route will start at 132nd Ave NE by Banner Bank, continue east on NE 175th Street and end at Garden Way/138th Ave. NE.
 
Puget Sound MINI Motoring Club is the premier motoring club of Washington State with over 200 members. The Imperial Guard is the furry-faced, tail- waving members of the Puget Sound MINI Motoring Club and adjutant to the A&E commission.

Recently bought a red '03 Cooper R50 (only had 34,000 miles on her and she's beautiful) and so far we're loving it.  We live in Yakima and would like come over and join in the parade this coming week.  We're not members of the PSM club I guess?  Can we still join in the parade?BowDown

This is what I did to make a wind up key.

1 paint spray shield $7.95 at Home Depot

1 Small paint roller minus pad

1 ea. 1-1/2” diameter PVC pipe

1ea. Foil

1ea spray adhesive

Shape and cut paint spray shield to look like a wind up key. Spray with adhesive and cover with foil. Cut PVC to length. PVC will slip over paint roller to allow the key to turn. Mount paint roller to rear wiper blade with plastic tie straps. Sponges make good paint protection.

I like Gumby's idea too!  Love the Wind-up key idea! I've seen one on a Smart car in the recent past, so the keys must be around, or maybe they made theirs.  It all sounds like FUN!
