Battery replacement in key.

   Hello,
I'm sure this question has been asked but I've used the search function and not finding any reference to a DIY on replacing the battery in the R53 style key. 
I believe you have to de-solder the connection. 
Has anyone had any success or do all resort to ordering replacement keys through the dealership.
